New Plantings
Remove loose soil from planting hole, and mix fertilizer thoroughly with soil from the hole. For plants 1 to 2 feet tall, use 1/2 cup; for all other plants use 1 cup. Replace soil, and firmly press soil in the hole with your foot. Water after planting.
Established Plants
Apply 1 cup for every 4 feet of height, and spread evenly around the drip line. DO NOT cultivate deeply to avoid damaging shallow roots of some plants. Water thoroughly.
Evergreen Hedges or Bed Planting
Apply 1lb per 100 sq. ft. or 50ft row. Water well after every application. Make the first application in early spring after last frost. Repeat every 4 weeks during the growing season.
